Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has urged for the establishment of an Air Force Girls Comprehensive Secondary School in Kano to complement the existing Boys Comprehensive Secondary School located in Kwa, Dawakin Tofa, along the Kano-Katsina expressway.
In a statement issued by the Governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Bature, Yusuf made this appeal during a courtesy visit by the Chief of Air Staff, Air Vice Marshal Hasan Bala Abubakar to the Government House in Kano.
He expressed pride in the professionalism and track record of Air Marshal Abubakar, acknowledging the Air Force’s efforts in addressing security challenges, particularly in combating kidnappers, bandits, and other criminals in Kano.
The governor reiterated his administration’s commitment to supporting the Air Force and sister security agencies, emphasising the importance of their collaboration in maintaining peace and stability in Kano.

In response, Air Vice Marshal Abubakar, raised concerns about encroachment on NAF land and the reallocation of its property, appealing for the restoration of land dedicated to future expansion.
He also sought Governor Yusuf’s support in connecting the Kano state water facility to the NAF Base for improved access to water supply.
