The International Rescue Committee (IRC) has said that it has spent a whopping sum of USD85.4 million across Borno, Adamawa, and Yobe on affected internally displaced persons since 2014-2023.
Country Director of IRC, Mr. Babatunde Ojei, who stated this during a town hall meeting in Yola, said the donation is geared toward fostering sustainable partnerships for inclusive development.

Mr. Babatunde also disclosed the successful execution of a $21.1 million project exclusively in Adamawa State, supported by USAID, BHA, UNICEF, EU, WFP, OCP, and GAC, marking a significant milestone in humanitarian endeavours.
Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, represented by Deputy Governor Professor Kaletapwa Farauta, lauded IRC’s interventions in elevating the living standards of internally displaced persons and refugees while bolstering their resilience.
