The police have arraigned one Tunde Aroni, a 25-year-old vigilante, over alleged illegal possession of a locally made single-barrel gun.
According to the police First Information Report (FIR): “Hoodlums were seen with guns and other weapons at their hideout in Ita-Adu area of Ilorin. Upon the strength of the information, the tactical team of the anti-robbery section stormed the hideout where one Tunde Aroni was arrested and one locally made single-barrel gun, one expended cartridge and one battle axe were recovered in his possession.”
The prosecutor, Yakubu, disagreed with the defence counsel, Toyin Onaolapo, over the issue of bail.

In his ruling, Magistrate Bambgola remanded the suspect and adjourned the case.
