Windstorm destroys houses, classrooms in FCT

Thirty-two houses and some classrooms were on Sunday evening destroyed by a windstorm in Kwaku community in Kuje Area Council of the FCT.

A resident, Barnabas Elisha, said the houses, including a church, collapsed as a result of the windstorm, even as he thanked God that no life was lost.

A victim, Ishaya Isaac, who spoke with our reporter, said the roof of his newly completed house was blown off.

Recall that a similar incident happened two weeks ago after a windstorm wreaked havoc in Kwaita village in Kwali Area Council of the FCT in which one person died.
