The Indigenous Students of Abuja (AISA) have commended the FCT minister, Nyesom Wike, for the disbursement of scholarships to their members learning at various tertiary institutions across the country.
City & Crime learnt that the minister had on Wednesday, at a ceremony, flagged off the disbursement of scholarships to 13,964 students of tertiary institutions who are natives of the FCT studying at various tertiary institutions across the country.

Speaking with newsmen over the weekend in Abuja, the president of AISA, Comrade Muhammad Nasir Abaji, said the disbursement of the scholarships marked a significant milestone in students’ collective pursuit of academic excellence and equal educational opportunities for all deserving students in the FCT.
He added that the disbursement of scholarships has shown Wike’s unwavering commitment to the development of the education sector in the FCT, which he said was in line with the renewed hope agenda of the President Bola Tinubu administration.
