Police arrest motorcycle thief in Ekiti

The Ekiti State Police command has arrested a notorious motorcycle snatcher, Bernard Shadrach, in Oye Local Government Area of the state.

The spokesman of the command, DSP Sunday Abutu, said the suspect was arrested in collaboration with some residents in Oye-Ekiti.

The PPRO added that investigation revealed that the suspect and his fleeing gang member specialize in snatching motorcycles from motorcyclists within Oye-Ekiti but ran out of luck on April 25, 2024, at about 21:40 hours.

“The suspects disguised as passengers going to Trinity Hostel along Egbe Road, Oye-Ekiti, boarded the motorcycle and at a point, while on their way, forced the rider to stop.”
