Bauchi State Governor Mohammed A. Abubakar has approved uniform for the over 5,000 cooks validated for the Home-Grown School Feeding Programme in the state.
Special Assistant to the Governor on NGOs and SIPs, Mansur Manu Soro, said at a stakeholders sensitization workshop for cooks in Bauchi LGA yesterday that the governor had approved the provision of material for uniform and apron to all cooks for free.

He said the central objective of the sensitization workshop was to mobilize the relevant stakeholders to take ownership of the programme to ensure its effective implementation.
A total of 5,213 cooks are to cater to 472,378 pupils across the three senatorial zones of the state under the school feeding programme.
