Gunmen have reportedly killed three young men in Entekpa Council Ward of Adoka District in Otukpo LGA of Benue State.
Caretaker Council Chairman of Otukpo LGA, Alfred Oketa Omakwu, in a telephone conversation with our correspondent in Makurdi on Monday, said that the incident happened at the weekend.
He said, “There is no peace. We lost three youths in Entepka, one of them was riding a bike and they attacked and shot him. They took the bike and followed the bush path to Udabi. When they came out in Adoka Icho, they saw two people and they killed them too.
“The killers are armed herders. We have been having series of meeting with their leaders, their Ardo, but these ones that come to our area, they claimed that they came from Nasarawa State and they don’t know them and their leadership is unknown and those are the violent ones,” Omakwu said.
