Kannywood actor, singer and producer Adam A Zango has generated serious discussions on social media following a video he released which has gone viral.
It would be recalled that the actor took to his social media handles to lament betrayal from his colleagues and other stakeholders in the entertainment industry. In the video, Zango threatened to open a can of worms and also vowed never to take it lightly any more with anyone who dares to come out publicly to ridicule him or his immediate family.
In the video, the actor mentioned names of Kannywood celebrities such as Ali Jita, Fati Niger, Falalu A Dorayi, Abale, among others, as benefactors of his magnanimity but without reciprocating the gesture. The actor cited the late Rabilu Musa Ibro as an example that made him rethink as well as shape his resolve to make the video.
Minutes after the release of the video by the actor, reactions on the actor’s outburst flooded various social media platforms. While some fans sympathized with the actor, others termed the outburst a sign of depression and advised the actor to seek medical and expert’s attention.
However, in less than 24 hours, one of the accused celebrities Ali Jita took to his social media handle to plead guilty of what the actor had accused them of, admitting that they had indeed not been fair to Zango because all of them were engrossed in the euphoria of stardom.
“Indeed, Adam A Zango is a nice person and it is apparent that we have not been fair to him at all. But it wasn’t intentional, most of us have been engrossed in the euphoria of our individual stardom, forgetting that we do have a base which is Adamu. Let me use this opportunity on behalf of Murya Daya Association of Musicians such as Nazifi Asnanic, among others, to seek for Adam A Zango’s forgiveness. We have resolved to meet him and address the situation,” he said.
Similarly, ace singer Fati Niger also took to her verified tiktok page to apologize to Zango, calling him a gentle soul that shouldn’t be abandoned. According to her, she is not a betrayer to forget all the good things the actor had done for her.
Another actor that took to his social media handle to react to Zango’s outburst was Abale. Abale described Zango as a pillar without which the industry wouldn’t have been where it is today. He admitted that the industry has not been fair to the actor and called for urgent action to arrest the situation.
What must have triggered such an outburst from the actor? This is the question many people have been asking. However, many people attributed the actor’s action to depression because they believe the actor is gradually losing his relevance in the industry. This category also believes that the response the actor got when he released his latest song and put a social media challenge is the major issue that caused his depression.
“He had released a song and put a challenge on it, but people didn’t take it seriously at all, they concentrated on the challenge put by Nazifi on his single song, ‘Halitta’. Honestly, for a man of Adam A Zango’s reputation to be treated the way he was treated has been a great shock not to him alone but all his fans,” said a source.
Another category posits that the whole incident started with the actor’s feud with social media influencer Aminu J Town who had made derogatory statements about him and instead of Zango’s benefactors to defend him, they all laid low. Only a few like Horror Dan Mama did.
However, some were of the view that several of Zango’s failed marriages and involvement of some of his colleagues in his marital affairs are the reason for his social media outburst.
Ironically, just as things were getting interesting, Zango came out to announce that he had forgiven Aminu J Town because Aminu had asked for his forgiveness. He also revealed that he had changed his stand because people that matter in his life and his chosen career have called to pacify him. He also asked for his fans forgiveness and said life goes on.
