Sustain Ramadan lessons, Edo, Osun imams admonish Muslims

The Chief Imam of Benin, Sheik Abdulfatai Enabulele, has charged the Muslim faithful to sustain the lessons of Ramadan and show love to their neighbours.

Sheik Enabulele said this Wednesday in his sermon shortly after the Eid-el-Fitr prayer in Benin City.

He described the Ramadan fast as an opportunity to get close to Almighty Allah and earn rewards for 30 days.

“My message to the Muslims is that having fasted for one full month, let us not go back to our evil ways but continue to dwell on our good deeds, show love, kindness, and compassion as exemplified by Prophet Muhammad,” he said.

Enabulele appealed to all Nigerians, especially the Muslims to be conscious of the day of accountability when everyone will stand before Allah to account for his or her stewardship on earth.

Also, Senator Adams Oshiomhole has urged Muslims faithful to replicate the virtues of Ramadan in their everyday conduct for a better and progressive Nigeria.

Similarly, the Chief Imam of Ede in Osun, Sheikh Moshood Hussain Akajewole, in his Eid sermon yesterday, advised Muslims to completely stay away from acts that do not resonate with the fasting period.

The state governor, Ademola Adeleke, called for unity and peaceful coexistence among all residents of the state.
