Easter: Nigerians urged to shun vices, embrace true brotherhood

Catholic Archbishop of Ibadan, Most Rev. Gabriel Abegunrin on Sunday urged Nigerians to shun corruption, tribalism, nepotism, terrorism, kidnapping, warmongering, greed and injustice.

In his Easter message, he enjoined Nigerians to embrace integrity, true brotherhood, love, peaceful co-existence, contentment, equity and fairness, instead.

“We have seen how shamelessness, scandals, powerlessness and weaknesses were suddenly transformed into glory and honour and given pre-eminence, laudation and applause.

“We must allow the power of Christ to bring about transformation in our country and allow it to permeate every aspect of our lives.

“Easter is a season of hope; let’s cling to hope in Christ’s resurrection for revival,’’ he stated. (NAN)
