The National Directorate of Employment (NDE) has advised the resettled Community-Based Trainees in Borno State that selling the starter packs given to them amounts to mortgaging their future.
The Director General of NDE, Malam Abubakar Nuhu Fikpo, who gave the warning, said the 54 youths and women beneficiaries underwent three months training on various skills.

Fikpo, who was represented by the Borno State Coordinator of NDE, Mohammed Gaji Galadima, said the trainees got equipment for welding, aluminum formation, barbing, fashion design and sewing.
He advised them to use the equipment in practicalising what they learnt during their three-month training, saying doing so would make them self-dependent and employers of labour.
