The Glodanif Energy Ltd. has disclosed plans to power 6000 small scale industries through bio-solar Independent Power Plant (IPP) in 12 states across the country.
The CEO of Glodanif, Ayodele Olaitan, said the project that would be domiciled in business clusters would provide from 1 to 3 Megawatt of electricity to the clusters.
Olaitan said the project is termed Green Industrilisation Initiative. Was developed to provide clean and affordable environmentally friendly energy to small and medium scale industries in cluster arrangement.
He added that the project is in partnership with National Association of Small Scale Industries (NASSI) to jointly provide solutions and help small and medium scale industrialists.

“This partnership is designed in a way in which we will put a number of industrialists association together in cluster as a group of customers and provide them with stable and affordable electricity to run their operations from renewable energy source.”
He added that the first phase of the project will be 36 megawatts of 12 sites of Bio-solar energy power plant and industrial part.
“The pilot phase will be developed in already identified isolated sites in Ibadan, Oyo state, Ifewara, Osun state and an existing cluster of rice mills in Gombe State. Each of the 12 clusters is expected to have a minimum of 50 and maximum 500 industrial outlets with a minimum of one megawatts to 3MG IPP install capacity.”
He said the remaining nine sites is in the offing with tariff structure based on cost effective tariff
Speaking at the event, the National President of NASSI, Dr. Solomon Vongfa said light is a major problem for small scale entrepreneurs all over the country.
“A lot of them have been running all over the country with diesel and we know what the cost of energy is now in Nigeria. So we feel that with green energy, which is globally accepted, and it is the current thing the world is working on, it is an advantage for our members and puts them in a captive cluster.”
