Kano State governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has reiterated his unwavering commitment to the security of lives and property of the people of the state.
According to his spokesman, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, the governor said this when he hosted the security chiefs in Kano for an Iftar at the Government House, Kano.
According to Tofa, the governor commended the security agencies for their indispensable role in ensuring the safety and welfare of the citizens and acknowledged and appreciated their contributions.
Governor Yusuf reiterated his administration’s firm commitment to strengthening the security framework to effectively deliver the essential services expected by both the government and the people of Kano.
He also revealed that his administration had commenced the procurement of food items for distribution, with security personnel among the beneficiaries of the initiative.
Several security personnel, including the Commissioner of Police, Muhammad Hussaini Gumel, Brigadier General M.A Sadiq of the 3 Brigade Nigerian Army, Bukavu Barracks, and Commander J.K Adedeji of the Naval Logistics College, Dawakin Tofa, expressed gratitude to the Kano State government for its support to the security agencies.
