Life USA, in partnership with Maple Leaf Early Years Foundation, has distributed food items worth millions of naira to 150 less privileged women and vulnerable people in Nasarawa State to support them during the Islamic fasting period of Ramadan.
Mr Ndubuisi Nwigwe, Co-Founder and Director, Government Relations, Maple Leaf, who disclosed this at the distribution venue in Loko Town, Nasarawa Local Government Area of the state, said the Ramadan food basket was established by Life United States of America (USA).
According to Nwigwe, the gesture tagged “Ramadan Food Basket Distribution” is targeted at the vulnerable and less privileged people and women to assist them not to be distracted while performing the spiritual exercise of Ramadan.
He said, “So, in the spirit of Ramadan, we thought of supporting vulnerable people to be able to have a good Ramadan.

“We provided these food items like yam, grains, spaghettis, sugar, peanut oil, Maggi and some other food items.”
