Businessmen in Yobe State who frequently go to Kano markets to buy goods have appealed to the Kano State Government to establish a motor park for them in the ancient city.
The Chairman of the United Marketers Association Potiskum (UMAPO), Alhaji Nasiru Mato, made the appeal when he presented a request letter to Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso seeking the construction of a terminal for Yobe traders and businessmen in Kano.

He said vehicles that commute from Yobe to Kano park on the Kano-Maiduguri highway, thereby congesting the road and exposing the drivers and traders to accidents and theft.
He said several efforts were made to secure a park for vehicles and traders from Yobe, Maiduguri and other places along Maiduguri Way to Mariri, unfortunately all proved abortive.
Senator Kwankwaso is the national leader of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), the ruling party in Kano, and the godfather of the incumbent Kano State governor.
