At least nine Palestinians were killed and several others injured when Israeli forces shelled a Palestinian crowd collecting humanitarian aid from a truck in Deir al-Balah in central Gaza, according to medical sources.
Sunday’s attack was the second in the last five days on displaced Palestinians in Gaza while waiting for humanitarian aid in the war-battered territory.
Turkish broadcaster – TRT World reported the spokesperson for the Ministry of Health in Gaza, Ashraf al-Qudra as saying via a statement that Israeli forces “committed a horrific massacre” in southern Gaza City, near the Kuwaiti roundabout on Salah al-Din Street.
“Israeli occupation forces are carrying out systematic genocide crimes targeting hundreds of thousands of hungry stomachs in northern Gaza,” the statement read.

It earlier quoted local media in the enclaves Strip reporting that at least 20 people were killed when Israeli fighter jets bombed two houses in the north Gaza.
As the Israeli war on Gaza entered its 149th day – Israel has killed at least 30,320 Palestinians, mostly children and women, and wounded 71,533 others, according TRT World.
Meanwhile, the Israeli army demolished 51 Palestinian structures in the occupied West Bank last month, according to Palestinian authorities.
Most of the demolitions took place in the cities of occupied East Jerusalem, Bethlehem and Hebron, the Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission said in a statement.
The UK-based charity – Save the Children said families in Gaza are unable to find anything to feed their children.
At least 15 children died from dehydration and malnutrition at Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza, the Health Ministry in the besieged enclave said.
On Feb. 19, the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) warned that the sharp rise in malnutrition among children, pregnant women, and lactating mothers in the Gaza Strip poses a “serious threat” to their health, particularly given the Israeli forces’ ongoing attacks on the enclave.
