Thirty- five persons who violated the Ekiti State February environmental and sanitation exercise have been prosecuted.
The Director, Environmental Health and Sanitation, Mr. Tunde Balogun, who gave the figure, said they were apprehended and prosecuted according to the sanitation law during the monthly sanitation exercise.

The Commissioner for Information, Taiwo Olatunbosun, who monitored the exercise, expressed satisfaction with the level of compliance by the residents.

He urged the people to properly utilize the bins recently procured and placed at strategic locations by the state government to ease refuse collections.
