Davido pledges N300m yearly to Nigerian orphanages

Nigerian superstar Davido has committed ₦300 million to support orphans in Nigeria through his charity.

The Grammy-nominated artiste revealed his plans on his official Instagram on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, saying, “I and my foundation pledge the sum of 300 million naira to orphanages around Nigeria as my yearly contribution to the nation. Details of disbursement will be announced tomorrow.”

In 2022, Davido launched the Davido Adeleke Foundation with the aid of other charity organisations to assist underprivileged children. In July 2023, he proudly stated that the organisation had provided more than N200 million to orphans around the country, benefiting 13,818 children.
