Chimamanda to debut on Comedy Central’s The Daily Show tonight

Famous Nigerian author, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, will tonight make her debut appearance on Comedy Central’s The Daily Show.

The show, hosted South African comedian Trevor Noah, will feature Chimamanda as an in-studio guest of the largest global comedy brand.

Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie is a multiple award winning Nigerian author, who has written several best-selling books such as ‘Purple Hibiscus,’ ‘Half of a Yellow Sun,’ and ‘Americanah.’

A renowned feminist and advocate for women’s rights who never shies away from publicly speaking her mind, Chimamanda recently became a global trending topic when she engaged the 2016 US presidential candidate, Hillary Clinton over her Twitter bio description.

The Daily Show hosted by Noah, is Comedy Central’s Emmy award-winning late-night talk and news satire television programme, which draws its comedy and satire from recent news stories and political figures.

A statement from Comedy Central urged the public to watch Chimamanda’s interview on The Daily Show tonight, 7 June 2018 at 21:00 WAT.

“The Daily Show with Trevor Noah airs at 22:00 CAT / 21:00 WAT on Comedy Central across Africa. Viewers can follow The Daily Show on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, as well as subscribe to their YouTube channel for updates,” it stated.

It will be recalled that Chimamanda and Noah met last year at the 2017 PEN World Voices’ Festival.
