Aiyedatiwa: Ondo lawmakers commended for standing up for APC

A group within the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State, Oke for Sunshine Forum (OSF), has commended the six lawmakers who wrote a Save Our Soul letter to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu alleging anti-party activities of the State Governor, Mr Lucky Aiyedatiwa.

In a statement signed by the group’s coordinator, Olushola Akintade, and made available to journalists, the forum alleged that Aiyedatiwa was ready to sink the ship of the APC because of his inordinate ambition.

Members of the Ondo State APC Caucus in the House of Representatives have called on President Tinubu to intervene in the crisis rocking the party in the state due to infighting among its members.

The six members of the caucus are Adesida Abiodun Cornelius Aderin (Akure North/South); Timehin Adelegbe (Owo/Ose); Festus Adefiranye Ayodele (Ileoluji- Okeigbo/Odigbo); Ojogo Donald Kimikanboh (Ilaje/ Ese- Odo); Odimayo Okunjimi John (Okitipupa/Irele) and Adegboyega Adefarati (Akoko South West/ South East) federal constituencies.

In the letter, the lawmakers appealed to President Tinubu to help save the legacies of the late Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu against destruction by his successor, Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa.

According to the lawmakers, what is going on is undermining the APC in the state because many agreements reached have been broken while the new administration is allegedly working to undo all that the late Governor did in the state.

Reacting, the group described the lawmakers as the true face of the progressive party in the state, whom history will be kind to.

The group warned that no grassroots politician in the Ondo APC is in bed with Aiyedatiwa because of his style.

Oke for Sunshine Forum called on President Tinubu to call Aiyedatiwa to order before he destroys the party in the state.

“It is time for President Bola Tinubu to call the Governor to order. His actions so far have continued to further polarise the party among negative interests,” the group stated.
