President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointments and reappointments of board chairpersons and chief executive officers of eight agencies and parastatals under the Federal Ministry of Health.
The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Chief Ajuri Ngelale, in a statement said the appointment is part of the president’s commitment to deliver affordable and quality care to all Nigerians.
Ngelale said the appointments and reappointments include that of the National Agency for Food and Drugs Administration and Control (NAFDAC) with Dr. Mansur Kabir as the Board’s chairperson: Prof. Moji Adeyeye as Chief Executive Officer.
The National Blood Service Commission (NBSC)’s Board chairperson is Prof. Abba Zubairu and the Chief Executive Officer as Dr Saleh Yuguda; while the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) Board chairperson is Prof. Afolabi Lesi and the Chief Executive Officer Dr Fatima Kyari. The Pharmacy Council of Nigeria (PCN)’s Board Chairperson is Pharm. Wasilat Giwa and the Chief Executive Officer, Pharm. Ibrahim Ahmed.

Others are the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN)’s Board chairperson as Dr. Babajide Salako and the Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Tosan Erhabor; while Moddibo Adama University Teaching Hospital, Yola (MAUTH)’s Chief Medical Director/CEO is Prof. Adamu G. Bakari; Irrua Specialist Teaching Hospital, Irrua (ISTH)’s Chief Medical Director/CEO is Prof. Reuben Eifediyi.
