The Sokoto state police command on Thursday handed over 20 cows and donkey recovered from armed rustlers to their rightful owner.
Briefing newsmen, the spokesman of the Command, ASP Ahmed Rufa’i explained that the animals were intercepted on January16 along Kware -Gada axis after a hot pursuit of the armed rustlers.
“The rustlers fled upon sighting the police,” he said
He added that one Malami Hayatu of Yar Barade village in Kware LGA on January 31st claimed to be the owner of the animals which was verified and confirmed by the police.

“Today, February, 1st 2024, we are handing over 20 cows and donkey recovered from armed rustlers to the owner in person of Malami Hayatu of Barade village in Kware LGA,” he said
