The Ogun State Government has sealed a tyre recycling company, Gande Limited, in Obafemi Owode LGA, over environmental infraction.
The Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Environment to the Governor, Farouk Akintunde, who doubles as the Chairman of the Special Task Force on Environmental Compliance and Enforcement in the state, gave the order during an enforcement tour of the town.

He said, “Following a tip-off from the residents of the community that the company emits carbon-monoxide, which is hazardous to health, prompted immediate action by the task force to embark on the tour and shut down the company.’’
