The Borno State governor, Prof Babagana Umara Zulum has assured of his support to Federal Radio Corporation (FRCN) to counter insecurity in the Northeast.
The governor disclosed this when a delegation led by the Director-General of the agency, Dr Muhammad Bulama paid him a courtesy visit in Maiduguri on Monday.
“Deradicalisation through radio is very essential, therefore, we would partner with your organisation with a view to improving the means of communication to people of Borno State, especially the downtrodden,” he said.
The governor noted that he’s aware of the challenges facing the agency in Borno and the country, stressing that he would do everything possible to support them.
