Thirteen people have lost their lives in a road crash that happened along the Bida-Mokwa Road in Niger State.
Daily Trust on Sunday gathered that six of the deceased were girls who were accompanying their newly wedded friend to her matrimonial home when the incident happened.
They were said to have died on the spot. A younger brother to the groom was also said to be among those who lost their lives.
Residents said the incident happened between Lukoro village and Wuya village on Bida-Mokwa Road in the evening of Friday.

The Niger State Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Kumar Tsukwam who confirmed the crash yesterday said that 13 lives were lost.
He did not however confirm if some of victims were accompanying their newly wedded friend to her matrimonial home when the incident happened as learnt.
“I am yet to ascertain this information, but very true, a crash occurred at Lukoro, wuya axis. A Toyota Corolla and a Nissan commercial bus had a head-on collision and sadly, 13 people lost their lives,” he said.
