The Sir Ahmadu Bello Memorial lecture and presentation of awards is set to hold today in Maiduguri, the capital of Borno State.
Director-General of the Sir Ahmadu Bello Memorial Foundation, Dr. Abubakar Gambo Umar, disclosed this to newsmen in Maiduguri on Friday.
He said the 10th lecture, with a theme, “Creating pathways for peace: tackling banditry and insurgency through good governance for sustainable development,” will reflect on security challenges facing Borno and the country in general.
He also noted that the lecture would explore the role of good governance in fostering sustainable development and promoting peace in the nation.

Also, the chairman organising committee of the event, who is the Head of Service of Borno State, Malam Fannami, said the annual lecture seeks to promote intellectual discourse, reflect on critical issues with a view to addressing contemporary challenges facing the region and the nation at large.
