A former husband (name withheld) of the late Bilkisu Alhaji Idi disclosed to Daily Trust that they had been married for six years but separated two months ago.

He revealed that he was asked to come to the Karewa Division, but upon arrival, he was taken to the Adamawa Police headquarters where he was informed of her death in a hotel room with a lover-ritualist.

He stated that he was asked to see her corpse, but he could not as he had never experienced such a situation before.

The ex-husband, who expressed sadness over the incident, said Bilkisu had called him on the fateful day, asking to speak to her son.

He informed her that their son was with his mother and promised to contact her once he (the son) returned home.
