A 32-year-old herder, Isma’il Adam, has been killed in a fresh attack on Makada community, Bokkos District in Bokkos Local Government Area of Plateau State.
The incident, according to the leadership of Fulani coalition groups, occurred on Thursday evening.
There has been reports of targeted killings in villages of Bokkos since after the Christmas Eve attacks that claimed more than 100 lives in the villages of Bokkos and Barkin Ladi LGAs.
On Wednesday, one herder was killed and two others escaped when hoodlums attacked a Toyota Boxer in Butura Company community of Butura District of Bokkos LGA.

The Chairman of Gan Allah Fulani Development Association of Nigeria (GAFDAN), Garba Abdullahi, who confirmed the latest incident said deceased alongside other herders was grazing his cattle when some gunmen stormed the area.
“The gunmen came in their numbers, killed Isma’il and rustled about 400 cattle but the personnel of Operation Safe Haven, responded swiftly and recovered the cattle. Members of our group are facing series of attacks in recent times.
“We are being targeted on a daily basis. We cannot freely graze our cattle. We are still calling on security agencies to intensify efforts to bring an end to these attacks. We are calling on our members to remain calm and law-abiding, ” the chairman said.
The spokesperson of Operation Safe Haven, Captain Oya James, had yet to respond to an inquiry by our correspondent as of the time of filing this report.
