There was a fire outbreak at the IC World Emporia Centre, a popular shopping arena in Gwarimpa, Abuja, in the early hours of Wednesday.
An X user, @Mister_Mash shared a video showing fire burning through the roof of the building.
“4:13am currently happening right now in Gwarimpa, IC World Emporia on fire. I called the @Fedfireng emergency line 0803 200 3557, and the woman hung up on me. I called 112, they said I should call 122, I called 122, they said I should call 112,” the user wrote.
However, an hour later, the netizen shared videos of the Nigerian fire service at the scene.

Daily Trust reports that this is coming barely 12 hours after an explosion, believed to have been caused by activities of illegal miners, rocked the capital of Oyo State, Ibadan – the largest city in West Africa.
Two persons had been confirmed dead in the explosion and over 70 others injured.
According to Governor Seyi Makinde, the explosion occurred at Adeyi Avenue, Bodija, although it was heard and felt in many parts of the city.
Many houses were damaged in the explosion, some several kilometers from where the explosion occurred.
