NDLEA destroys 46 hemp farms in Edo

The Edo State Commander of the Nigeria Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Buba Wakawa, has disclosed that the agency has destroyed 46 Indian hemp farms.

Wakawa, who disclosed this in Benin while briefing journalists on the command’s achievements in 2023, sid, “A total of 46 cannabis farms measuring 50.4984251 hectares were destroyed across the three senatorial districts of Edo State within the period under review.”

The commander also disclosed that the agency seized 17.955 tonnes of hemp and other psychotropic substances within the period under review.
