The Edo State Governor, Mr Godwin Obaseki, has flagged off the construction of the 9.7km Uwelu Market road and its adjoining roads.

Speaking during the flag off, Obaseki said the road construction projects would benefit over 20 communities and open up more communities for economic activities and development.

Represented by the Commissioner for Roads and Bridges, Engr Ethan Uzamere, Obaseki said that as part of the project, the state government was developing a mini water project to address the erosion problem in the area.
