Taraba State Governor Agbu Kefas has reiterated the need for synergy between local council chairmen and traditional rulers in tackling some of the challenges in their communities.
He stressed that community leaders must play a central role in finding lasting solutions to the challenges facing their respective domains and the state in general.
Governor Kefas who stated this Tuesday after a tour of some projects to be executed in Takum Local Government Area by his administration said the main motivation for carrying the traditional rulers along is that governance is not a “one-man business” as their input has become very necessary.
Kefas also conducted top government officials, security heads, and traditional rulers round projects spearheaded by former Minister of Defence, General TY Danjuma, in his hometown of Takum.

The projects included a university, the Kashimbilla-Takum Road, a diagnostic centre and the airport, among others.
