Super Story crowned ‘TV Drama of the Year’

Wale Adenuga Productions (WAP) ended 2023 on a joyful note as Super Story, Nigeria’s most-watched TV drama, was crowned “Television Drama of the Year” at the 31st edition of the Nigeria Media Merit Awards (NMMA) held in Lagos.

The producer of Super Story, Wale Adenuga Jr, said the award was a recognition of years of efforts to bring bespoke education and entertainment content to the audience.

He said, “Since Super Story started airing in 2001, we have never stopped working hard to ensure the relevance, relatability and timeliness of our different stories being watched by several generations of viewers from various backgrounds. We appreciate the organisers of this event for recognising our efforts, and we assure Nigerians that we still have lots of mind-blowing surprises coming soon.”
