‘634 pregnant women, 321 nursing mothers in IDP camps need help’

The Chief Executive of Kefiano Global Foundation, Kefas Ropshik, has cried out to individuals and corporate organisations to help save the lives and future of nursing mothers, pregnant women and children left in the cold at the Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camps in Bokkos and Barkin Ladi LGAs of Plateau State.

Ropshik made the appeal after his visit and presentation of relief materials to some of the IDPs in Bokkos and Barkin Ladi LGAs yesterday.

Ropshik said, “The conditions of my fellow human beings I saw at the IDP camps have made me sad. I can’t imagine nursing mothers with their infants sleeping on the bare floor at primary schools where they are camping.”

He said with over 634 expectant mothers, the IDPs needed help fast, and therefore called on philanthropic individuals and corporate organisations to come to their aid.

Meanwhile, Ropshik adopted five of the orphans from the IDPs to be taken care of by his foundation.
