The Bauchi State Ministry of Environment has distributed energy-friendly stoves to over 300 vulnerable households, including People With Disability (PWD) as a step to reduce felling of trees and encourage the use of free emission stoves.
Speaking during the distribution, the Commissioner for Housing and Environment, Danlami Kawule, reiterated the commitment of the state government to mitigate the effects of climate change.

Kawule disclosed that 3,500 households are set to benefit from the stoves, noting that the issue of climate change was a challenge the administration was ready to tackle headlong to protect the interest of the people.
