Two PDP officials defect to APC in Benue

Two officials of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Benue State have defected to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

In a statement confirming the defection, the State Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Bemgba Iortyom, said the departure to the APC of two of its officials – Vincent Yandev Amaabai, a National Ex-officio; and Mbakorlumun James Chia, State Vice-Chairman for Benue North-West (Zone “B”) Senatorial District would create a vacancy which wouldn’t be left unfilled.

Iortyom noted that both officials have been listed to be received into the ruling APC at a ceremony slated for Thursday, January 4, 2024, adding that the party wishes them well in their continuing political foraging.
