The Taraba State House of Assembly has passed the 2024 appropriation bill presented to it by Governor Agbu Kefas.
The house approved N313.3 billion which is N2 billion higher than what was submitted by the governor.
The Chairman of the Finance and Appropriation Committee of the House, Abdul-Azeez Titong, said increasing the budget by N2 billion was necessary in order to meet the development needs of the state.
Titong emphasised that the adjustment was necessary to accommodate crucial projects aligned with the government’s five-finger development agenda.

He said, “The initial budget size was adjusted to incorporate projects essential for the development agenda, amending it from N311,388,525,661.56k to N313,388,525,661.56k.”
