Alia begins distribution of palliatives in Benue

Governor Hyacinth Alia of Benue State has commenced the distribution of the federal government’s palliative to the people of the state.

Alia, while performing the flag-off ceremony yesterday at the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) premises in Makurdi, warned anyone planning to destabilise his administration to desist because the people of the state would resist such a move.

“I have truly come to work. So, people of the state should expect greater things ahead in 2023. Let us remain on the same page.

“Anyone who wants to toy with this administration, people of the state will not allow that. We will remain focused on providing dividend of democracy,” he said.

 The governor, however, assured that the palliatives would be extended to every segment of the state, adding that the distribution of the food items was devoid of political affiliation.

The food items distributed included 21 truckloads of maize and 35 of rice.
