The Kano State government has arraigned one Musbahu Ya’u at the State High Court Number 14 sitting at Miller Road for stabbing his friend in the stomach with a knife.
The accused is being charged for stabbing Kamalu Sadik until his lungs came out after a misunderstanding between them.
When the prosecutor, Barrister Lamido Abba Sorondinki, read the charges to him, Yau denied the charges levelled against him.
Sorondinki, therefore, prayed the court to adjourn the matter to enable them to bring their witnesses.
The defendant’s counsel, Barrister Ahmad Ali, did not object to the prayers by the prosecution counsel but asked the court to order the complainants to give them the papers to be presented before the court.
The judge, therefore, ordered the remand of the suspect in a correctional facility and adjourned the case to February 28, 2024.
