Police give N12m to bereaved families

The Nigeria Police yesterday presented cheques of N12.8 million to 10 relations  of deceased police officers in Edo and Delta states under the Group Life Assurance Claim Settlement Scheme.

Presenting the cheques, AIG Abubakar Adamu Muhammed said the life assurance scheme was established for the good of officers who died or suffered injuries while serving the country, and assured that Inspector General of Police Ibrahim Idris was concerned about the welfare of the police, and in seeing that the sacrifice of deceased police personnel did not go in vain.

“Seven beneficiaries from Edo State Command received cheques of N7, 649,769 million while three from Delta State Command received N5,107,210,” AIG Adamu explained.
