The Director General (DG) of the National Youths Service Corps (NYSC), Suleiman Kazaure, has urged corps members to use their service years planning their own jobs and not wait for white collar jobs that they may not get.
The DG who spoke in Abia State during a visit to the Orientation Camp in Bende, asked the Batch A Stream II corps members to envision their own legitimate businesses for survival.
“Do any available legitimate business no matter how small it is. I don’t want my children, after service, to say there is no job. Create jobs for yourselves. To you currently in camp, seize this opportunity and learn one or two skills,” he said.
The state Coordinator of the NYSC, Mrs Francesca Mfon, thanked the DG for the visit and said the orientation camp was facing erosion problem and electricity challenge and appealed for intervention.
