A suspect identified as one Abubakar Umar has been arraigned before a Kano Shari’ah Court sitting at Gama PRP for trespassing and stealing.

The offence is contrary to Sections 213 and 133 of the Kano penal code law.

The suspect is being charged with stealing a mobile phone, a Tecno Spark 16 worth N98,000, belonging to one Yakubu Muhammad.

He however denied the charges when the prosecutor, Aliyu Abidin Murtala, read out the charges to him.

While the complainant could not produce a witness, the judge, Malam Nura Yusuf Ahmed, adjourned the case to December 18.
