Hussaini said part of the budget would also be used to execute projects in the education and health sectors.

He expressed appreciation to members of the house for the speedy passage of the supplementary budget.

The lawmakers passed the budget after clause by clause consideration of the bill in the committee of the whole.

There was, however, mild drama when members raised questions on N2.5m allocated to each of the four Emirates of Kano, Gaya, Rano and Bichi with the exception of Karaye which got N50m.

Speaker Jibrin Falgore explained that only Karaye Emirate defended its budget before the Assembly to justify the allocation given.

Member representing Fagge Tukur Muhammed submitted report findings on the audited accounts of MDAs covering 2018- 2020.
