The Secretary-General and Registrar of the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN), Dr Umar Abubakar, has called for a quick reform in the education sector to tackle the yoke of poverty in Nigeria.
Abubakar, who made the call on Saturday while delivering his lecture at the 13th convocation and 16th-anniversary ceremonies of Achievers University Owo, in Ondo State, observed the need for sound education and social justice for any society to triumph.
Speaking on “Education as a Tool for Social Change and Justice in Nigeria”, Umar said “Educational policies and initiatives must promote equity, inclusivity, and social justice and address Nigeria’s diverse society’s unique challenges and opportunities.”
