Synod of the All Nations Evangelism Ministry (ANEM) in Benue State, on Saturday called for the protection of the rights of women and children in the ongoing war between Israel and Gaza.
The chairman of the Synod and president of the ANEM, Archbishop Yimam Orkwar, who read the resolution reached at the third quarter Synod of the Church, also prayed for God’s intervention against global hostility.
“Synod condemns terrorism and acts of violence in any shape and form across the globe, particularly the acts of terrorism that led to hostilities between Israel and prayed for God’s intervention. It is hoped that the rights of women, children and other persons should be upheld and protected,” he said.
The Synod further urged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to step up efforts to address escalating security challenges across the country, which are likely to derail democracy if not tackled early.
