Doma United extend unbeaten streak, defeat Kano Pillars

Doma United are in superb form at the moment as they have now gone unbeaten in eight consecutive games following a hard-fought 1-0 win over Kano Pillars in the match day 13 of the 2023/24 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season at the Pantami Stadium.

This streak which is the longest run in the league at the moment have seen the Savannah Tigers’ move to the top of the table after beating the former champions in their first-ever meeting yesterday.

The home side started the game brightly creating goal scoring while putting their guests, Kano Pillars in a confused state. Their early possession paid off beautifully as Emmanuel Ekpeyong in the 14th minute scored in what was the only goal of the game.

Action continues today as Bendel Insurance will play hosts to Sunshine Stars while Bayelsa United will welcome Enugu Rangers.

Abia Warriors will trade tackles with Enyimba while Shooting Stars seek to shine over visiting Katsina United.

Osayi beat veteran forward, Sikiru Alimi, Ismaila Sodiq, Andrew Majalisa, Amos Obasogie and Samuel Tiza to the award.

Doma United head coach, Akinade Onigbinde also won the Coach of the Month award.

Niger Tornadoes star Bashir Usman was voted winner of the Fans Goal Of The Month award for November.

In the same vein, Usman becomes the second-ever Fans’ Goal of the Month award winner for his stunner against Akwa United on match-day 10 after polling 67.7 per cent of nearly 200 fan votes ahead of Kareem Ademola of Shooting Stars, Mohamed Alao of Kwara United, Akwa United’s Dare Ojo and Doma’s Emmanuel Jesam.
