The Kano State Fire Service has said two lives were lost and properties worth N43,780,700 were lost to fire incidents in November 2023.
According to the Public Relations Officer, PFS Saminu Yusif Abudullahi, the fire service received emergency calls from 29 fire stations across the state in the month under review.
He revealed that “the stations received “57 fire calls, 12 rescue calls, and seven false alarms, while the estimated number of properties destroyed by fire in the month amounts to N43,780,700.
“The estimated cost of properties saved by the fire service personnel was N104,121,300; two lives were lost and 15 lives were saved.”

The spokesman urged the general public to handle fire with more care, especially in the harmattan period.
