The president of the African Development Bank (AfDB), Akinwunmi Adeshina, will deliver the convocation lecture at Veritas University, Abuja, today.
A statement yesterday by the Head of Corporate Affairs and Communication of the University, Ben Agande, said Akinwumi would speak on ‘Africa: It’s Your Time’.
The statement said 34 students of the institution would be honoured with first class during its 2nd Digital Innovations Exhibition and 12th Convocation Lecture.
It said the convocation would witness the conferment of Honorary Degrees on three distinguished Nigerians; Adeshina, Chief Anthony Idigbe SAN and Most Reverend Fortunatus Nwachukwu.

The statement quoted the Vice Chancellor of the university, Professor Rev Fr Hyacinth Ichoku, as saying a total of 519 students would be awarded first degrees; 68, Masters Degree and five, PhD.
It said 236 students would graduate with Second Class Upper Division; 219, Second Class lower and 31, Third Class Degrees.
