The winners in both categories smiled home with N500,000 each while the runners up and semi-finalists went home with N250,000 and N100,000 respectively.

Speaking after the event, Kingsley Ochonogor, the health service manager, Childcare and Wellness clinics who are the sponsors said the tournament will be sustained following the success of the maiden edition

“This is the maiden edition, we love the game of squash and from what you have seen so far, it’s breathtaking and intense. From the look of things, it will be sustainable. We picked interest in the game because it’s a game of endurance, resilience and that is the beauty of squash apart from the health benefits,” he said.

In the same vein, the President of the Nigeria Squash Federation (NSF), Boye Oyerinde said the best news for the game was the inclusion of squash in Olympics beginning from 2028.
